Festival update 1st May: coronavirus causes cancellations of live events . . . but creates a virtual Festival!
By now, you will probably know that, because of the COVID-19 epidemic and related restrictions, you will, alas, not be able to buy tickets for or attend live events at the Festival in May.
However, we have been busy trying to salvage something from this year’s Festival, for ourselves, for authors, for performers, and for you!
We have recorded a number of talks, interviews, and performances with authors and performers for broadcast in a virtual way at the times advertised in the Festival programme and on this website.
In fact, we are now very excited about bringing this virtual mini festival to you and to Festival followers everywhere!
Virtual Festival events:
All our virtual events for 2020 are still available to enjoy online!
There are also a number of filmed treats, provided by Swindon Viewpoint, and Create Studios, of events and performances from last year’s Festival. See them here.
Check this website and our social media pages for full details and links to all talks and performances. All virtual events will go live at the times and on the dates as advertised in the Festival programme.
Note. There is no charge for you to see and enjoy these virtual events but since, like many people’s, our coffers are emptying fast, any donation you can make would be very helpful, both to help cover the costs of this year’s Virtual Festival and to support future live ones! If you wish to make a contribution, please see donate button above. Thank you.
We hope that all is well where you are and extend greetings and best thoughts to you, to yours, and to Festival followers everywhere.
There will be another day.
Till then, and till we meet again, keep well.
